What is breakfast club and wraparound care?
Breakfast club and wraparound care are paid for by parents and play an important role in providing before and after school childcare for families where parents work or need to drop off and pick up other children at different schools or childcare settings.
Who runs the breakfast club and wraparound care?
Sally from Active Trowbridge runs both the breakfast club and wraparound care sessions, with either Mrs Nuku or Miss Camp.
What are the times and prices of Newtown’s breakfast club and wrap around care?
If wraparound care is required from 3:15pm until 5:30pm, both sessions would need to be booked and the cost would be £8. It is also possible to book your child into an after school sports club until 4:15 and only use wraparound care for the 2nd session.
A healthy snack will be provided to children at 4.30pm. Please contact the office regarding any allergies.
How to book Breakfast Club or Wraparound Care
If you would like your child to attend any before or after school sessions, please book on Scopay. Your Scopay account requires funds to be transferred in (e.g. similar to a pay as you go mobile phone) before sessions can be booked.
Please contact the school office if you need to register for a Scopay account.
Expectations for Breakfast Club and Wraparound Care
For the school to be able to offer a place at wraparound care or breakfast club, it is important that the expectations for wraparound care are shared and understood. As with all school activities, trips and clubs, we provide dedicated and skilled staff. They will aim for your child to have the best experience possible during their time at breakfast club and wraparound care.
Our school is well recognised for its super behaviour. We look forward to welcoming children who will show the same super attitudes and excellent standards of behaviour that they already show within school.
As a school we do reserve the right not to offer or to withdraw a place where children’s behaviour is not of an acceptable standard.
Children are collected promptly by the end of the session. As children will be around the school site during session 1, children can only be collected from 4pm onwards. Collection point will be the school hall. If there is any change to who is picking your child up, please call and inform the office in the normal way. Unfortunately refunds for absence cannot be made.
Term 2 activities
The children had a wonderful time making hand print Christmas trees and decorating the hall and windows. Look at their lovely work below.
