Welcome to Newtown Primary School. This is a school where children have real pride in their behaviour and their learning, something which is often commented on by visitors to our school. These strengths within our school are supported by a strong behaviour ethos and high expectations.
A sense of fun is also something the school is well known for. Dress up days and lots of opportunities for children to perform in assemblies, shows and clubs help them learn through enjoyable and exciting experiences. The school has lovely grounds and over time these have been developed to help children learn and develop. We now have flower beds, vegetable gardens and an outdoor classroom. These opportunities to learn outside of the classroom help children value and care for their environment.
The community of Newtown Primary School is another of the school’s strengths. Not only do they make the effort to help new families and new staff feel welcome, they also support the school in numerous ways. An active PTA devotes time to fundraising for the school. Events such as school discos and the summer fete are popular and enjoyable.
